\nThe run from the power source to the gate is often the single biggest line item. A long driveway means a long trench.
\nHeavier and longer gates need bigger operators and stronger foundations.
\nSliding gates need a track and more groundwork; swing gates need clear arc space. Site conditions usually decide it, not preference.

Often yes. We check the gate's weight, how true it hangs, and the condition of the posts and hinges. A gate that already sags or binds will only get worse under a motor, so occasionally the honest answer is that the gate needs work first. We'll tell you if that's the case rather than fitting an operator that will fail.

Yes, and this is the main advantage over keys. A lost fob is deleted from the system in seconds and stops working immediately. There's no lock to change and no cost beyond a replacement fob.
Yes — a licence plate recognition camera can open the gate for vehicles on an approved list, so you never touch a fob. It needs its own camera at a fixed capture point, close to straight-on, to read plates reliably. We cover how that works on our products page.
Yes. Card, fob or PIN readers on office, stockroom and server room doors are a common part of the same job, and the same credentials can work on the gate and the doors. Interior doors on maglocks need proper fire-safe exit hardware, which we fit as standard.
Yes. Because every entry is already logged against a credential, that data doubles as an attendance record — no separate time-clock system needed. It's a natural fit for warehouses and multi-shift sites.
